• Requests for approval to bid must be submitted early before the start of the Session. It is unlikely that we can entertain requests after the Session has started.
• It is our policy that bidders without a satisfactory and relevant eBay feedback record will NOT be approved to bid in Mavin auctions through eBay unless they are already known to us.
• A spending limit will normally be in place for online bidders. For bidders unknown to us, this may vary depending on their feedback. Please email or call if you wish to have the limit increased. We may ask for references or a deposit.
• Bidders who sign up late should be aware that a default spending limit is assigned to bidders who sign up later than an hour before the Session starts. This cannot be changed and may be below your intended limit.
• The auction proceeds at a rate of 120 - 150 lots per hour. The internet often cannot keep up with the pace of bidding and you may find yourself shut out from bidding. If you are bidding through eBay, we strongly recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid before the start of the auction in order to avoid disappointment.
• We cannot be responsible if for any reason your absentee bid is not conveyed to us. It is in the nature of eBay Live Auctions that this occasionally happens.
• The identities of bidders are not revealed. This is for your protection.
• To avoid delay book bids and floor bids will be taken first, and eBay bids will only be taken when competitive bidding at the floor stops.
• Book bids and floor bids may take priority over tied eBay bids even if the eBay bids were submitted earlier.
• Your bid is binding on you. Appropriate action will be taken against non-paying bidders, and both negative feedback and non-paying bidder strikes WILL be posted against bidders who do not honor their bids.
• Due to the large number of bidders, successful eBay bidders should expect a notification email only after 3-7 working days of the auction close. If this bounces back for any reason, we will try to use the eBay Message system. It is your responsibility to make sure that you can be reached by either of these 2 methods or to provide us with alternative means of contacting you.
• Payment is expected within 10 days after that and interest may be charged for late payments per the auction terms.
• It is our policy that unsold lots will only be available for direct sale, if at all, at the low end of the Estimate.
