7/8" Dummy Plug for Bird Electronic Model 43 Wattmeter

This is an essential component for the Bird 43, Coaxial Dynamics, or other wattmeter that has a 30µA meter movement and a 7/8" socket or rf cavity.  To protect your wattmeter simply install this dummy plug in the rf cavity of the line section prior to shipping or transporting it.  When installed, this dummy plug will dampen the meter movement preventing excessive movement which can potentially damage or destroy your meter.  As an added precaution this dummy plug should always be installed when the wattmeter is not in use.  Obviously never apply rf power or otherwise operate your wattmeter with a dummy plug installed.
