We are selling these three vintage Country Store rolling ladders for someone else, so this will be a one time auction and if they don't sell, they will not be relisted again, sorry.
<p>We have had people call us up, inquiring if they could purchase only one of the ladders. So we have decided to make this auction for ONLY one of the rolling ladders. The winner will also have the option after the auction, of purchasing one or both of the other two ladders. If the winner declines that option, the second highest bidder will have the option, then the third, etc. We want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, anyone.
This auction is for one of the vintage Country Store rolling ladders. So the winner of this auction get to choose one of the three ladders, either one of the longer 7 1/2 foot ladders or the shorter 3' 10" ladder. Which ladder he chooses, he get all the hardware, brackets, iron tubing or wooden rod, that goes with that particular ladder. By that we mean, one of the longer ladders(7' 6") comes with a 16 foot long iron tubing, brackets and hardware. The other longer ladder(7' 6") comes with a 19 foot long iron tubing, brackets and hardware. The shorter ladders(3' 10") comes with the 20 foot long wooden rod, brackets and hardware. Remember the winner will have the first option on one or both of the other two ladders.
The Country Store is located in south central Louisiana, between Opelousas and Eunice, LA. Also the winner of the auction will receive the history of the old country store. They have been and still are, in this old country store that was built around 1915. All three are signed with stickers, "MILBRADT MFG. CO. ST. LOUIS, MO.". Two of the ladders are the same, they measures approximately 7'6" tall by 17 1/2" wide, with the smaller one measuring 3'10" tall by 17 1/2" wide. We have never seen a small rolling ladder like this one before. These 3 rolling ladders are different from the others you usually see, they don't have any floor rollers(photos 1 & 8). Instead they have a middle rolling brackets, that can be placed on the top or bottom of a counter, shelf, etc, to support the weight of the person climbing the ladder. Photo #5 shows a closeup of the rolling bracket. There are two iron tubing for the longer ladders, they measures approximately 16 and 19 feet long. The shorter ladder runs on a wooden rod(photos 9 & 10) that is 20 feet long. The ladders with these brackets will fit just about anyplace or anything. For example, in a library, a lawyer office, a homes food pantry, etc just about anywhere's your imgination will take you. You rarely see one original rolling ladder in this Excellent condition, and here are three of them, don't miss out.
For being 90 years old or older, the condition of the ladders are Excellent(on a scale of 1 to 10, a easy 9), all the wooden steps and wooden frame have an absolutely gorgeous patina and are sturdy and solid, with no cracks or splits that I could see. The man in the photo weighs 200 plus lbs. and walked up all three ladders. Please enlarge our photos to have a better view of the ladders and the condition of the ladders. E-mail us with any questions on the ladders before bidding and Good Luck!
