This mohair needed a unique name 'RED BOIS' (Red Woods) is very individual looking with a deep reddish base & dark brown to black accented tips, it's 7 inch (18 cm) Relaxed length, these are really wavy locks that want to curl. I had to mist them with water for the photo shoot.
This mohair is rinsed repeatedly until the rinse water becomes clear.
THERE IS ABSOLUTLEY NO WASTE WHEN USEING THIS MOHAIR, your mohair is ready to root upon arrival. No untangling. No vegetable matter. Just art work.
This
mohair comes from a healthy home raised angora, like all our mohair. We
(Brenda & Melanie) raise Angora Goats in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. Our goats
receive the best of care, are mostly on pasture during the day under a canopy of White Oaks and Ponderosa Pines. At sunset they are brought in to go sleep in the barn where they are safe in the wee hours of the night. They also enjoy vitamins, grain and snacks such as raisins and banana peices daily right from our hand plus free choice minerals that are laid out for them to choose as they need to help add luster to their hair.
