German violins before 1990 were the envy of the violin making world.  They are made with durability and performance in mind, and always include a level of honest quality and beauty that is not seen in all commercially produced violins.  This violin is an fine example of that!

The violin has an focused sound, which is powerful and clear. This solid instrument will project its sound well for an instrument of its size, and will respond to a young player's artistic needs.  The setup is very good, with a hand carved "Aubert a Mirecourt" bridge, ProArte strings and a Wittner Ultra tailpiece four fine tuners.  Instrument’s of this kind retail in our shop and catalog price to over $500.00 commonly.  This would eBay auction would be a bargain for any avid violin student and a worthy instrument for the beginning player!

The spruce top has very even and straight grain, and the maple of the back and sides is of very good tonal quality.
The red-gold varnish is resonant and luminescent, and the elegant pufle is set expertly inside the slightly raised edges.  The carving on this violin is of a very professional caliber.

Condition of this instrument is very good with dings and wear throughout due to active use.
There are no devaluing cracks or repairs.  The neck angle is correct, and everything is working properly mechanically.
