This item is a set of 2 fabric-covered 1.5" (38 mm) shank style buttons (see photo). They are made using 100% cotton fabric and are machine washable. We make these ourselves, so if you would like buttons made with a particular theme, please let us know and we will work with you. If you want to use these in other craft projects and don't need the metal shank, you can clip it off with a wire clipper and have a flat back button that can be glued on whatever you choose.
