About the Sculptor, Mr. Tashi Tsuzuki

Mr. Tashi Tsuzuki is a Japanese sculptor, primarily sculpting 1/35th military figurines for mass commercial release. He started making 1/35th military accessories & gear for his hobby and now works for his own company that specializes in military related figurines, as well as his favourite hobby, 1/6th head sculpture. Tashi's work has proved sufficiently popular and successful for local military hobby market to release a Tashi’s Collection, including many 1/35th WW2 military dioramas and 1/6th Character heads.

Tashi's work, like some of the modelers on which it is based, often combines lookalike facial features with real expression. For further design knowledge, he studied in the University of Art and Design, from 1981 to 1985, and in the University of Fine Arts and Music, from 1985 to 1987. Afterwards, he turned back to sculpture began in the year 1987.

Collectors and model-buyers regard Tashi's work as being of good quality due to its accurate paintwork, of fine detail, accurate representation of the character, naturalistic poses and high manufacturing standards. This opinion is reflected by the 2005 exhibition of Tashi's solo exhibition, called “Military Story”, much appraised by professionals & visitors, which attracted favorable reviews from local newspapers.
