Why is a GIA diamond certificate so important?

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the most well respected gem laboratory in the world.  The GIA only certifies 100% natural diamonds.  They will not give certification to manufactured diamond imitations or to diamonds that have been clarity enhanced or color treated.  The GIA has literally set the industry standard for diamond grading and gemological identification.  That is why the most prestigious jewelers in the world sell only GIA certified diamonds.  There are thousands of engagement rings on Ebay, but only a select few of them come with a certificate from the GIA.  If you want to be absolutely certain that the diamond you are buying is 100% natural and is being graded accurately, then you should insist on GIA certification.  Please visit the GIA website for more information on how to buy a diamond, and visit our Utopia Diamonds Jewelry Store to find more GIA certified diamond jewelry.

Are these diamonds all natural?

Utopia Diamonds only sells natural diamonds and gemstones.  We don't sell or deal with clarity enhanced diamonds or diamond imitations.

Do you offer any warranties?

This engagement ring comes with a one year insurance policy from Jewelers Mutual.  The policy will replace diamonds that fall out of the ring, and provide a replacement of the ring if it's stolen.  After one year, you can continue coverage with Jewelers Mutual or any other insurance company.  The cost of yearly insurance coverage is typically 2% of the value of the jewelry.

Do you offer any price guarantee?

Utopia Diamonds has the best prices for high quality jewelry, especially bridal rings with GIA certified diamonds.  If you find a better price anywhere, then please show us the ad, and 99% percent of the time, we'll beat their price.

We urge you to shop around.  Go to Zales, Kay Jewelers, Helzburg, or Blue Nile and then come to us and you'll be amazed at the price difference.  We work on a very small profit margin, so you save big.

If I resize the ring, does it affect the 30 day return policy?

If we size the ring(s) for you, then it has no effect on the return policy.  If you are not happy, just send it back for a full refund.  If you resize the rings through a local jeweler or have another jeweler tamper with the ring, then we reserve the right to deny a refund or to deduct a restocking fee from the refund, depending on how much alteration was done to the ring.  

If you are going to have another jeweler adjust the ring during the 30 day return period, then please inform us first.  Just call us at 1-646-728-0564, Monday through Friday, 10:00AM to 7:00PM EST.

Do I need to worry that these are conflict diamonds?

All our diamond suppliers must provide a written statement that they are providing us with diamonds from legitimate sources and are conflict free.  We only buy diamonds from well respected diamond cutters who promise that they are in compliance with United Nations resolutions concerning conflict diamonds, specifically the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme.

Where is this ring made?

All of our jewelry is made in the United States, in our factory located in the Diamond District of New York, unless stated otherwise.

Are these pictures of the actual ring?

The pictures show a sample.  The actual ring will look just like the one shown in the picture.

Can I get more pictures of the sideview, so I can see how high the diamond sits?

We can set the center stone as low or high as you like.  When you order, just call or email us and let us know if you want the center stone to be set low, medium or high.
