THIS IS THE FIRST STYLE LINCOLN PENNY IN A FOUR COIN SERIES MADE FOR 2009.  IT DEPICTS THE LOG CABIN THAT ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS BORN  IN WITH 1809 ON THE REVERSE. THIS DEPICTS HIS BIRTH AND EARLY CHILDHOOD IN KENTUCKY. THESE COINS WERE FIRST  RELEASED ON FEB. 12, 2009 .

MOST MINT ERRORS ARE FOUND IN THE FIRST COINS ISSUED.

THESE PHILADELPHIA MINT ISSUES HAVE THE LOWEST PRODUCTION NUMBERS SO FAR AND ARE VERY LIMITED !!!!
