Note about the above chart - With certain opening sizes you will not use the 2-Bar extension that comes with the gate. You can discard the 2-Bar, or store it for future use.

The total adjustments that can be made with the hand-wheels is 2.75 inches ( a little less than 1.5 inches on each side.) Remember that this is a guide for selecting the extensions you need, but a slight difference in measurements could effect the fit of your gate. If in doubt, go with the smaller width measurements. For example, if your opening is 41 inches exactly, go with the 1-Bar extension rather than the 2-Bar.

Please note that the photo shown is of the 5-Bar extension. The 1-Bar extension has the same look but measures 3 inches instead of 14. Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks.
