This is an Authentic $10 Confederate Note from Feb 17,1864! Its in Very fine condition..Has some verticle lines...and bent corner tips....Very Crisp......No tears..Has a few hard to find pinholes....Handsigned and numbered..Deep Color!!...(see scan.).. This bill features a portrait of Confederate cabinet member R.M.T. Hunter..the Field Artillery and Horse pictured are said to represent Braxton Braggs artillery in the Battle of Bueno Vista in 1847 during the War with Mexico..if thats correct the picture is apparantly based on a portion of a Contemporary painting Carl Nebel..except at a different angle...Bragg later became a Confederate General during the Civil War!!... Great gift or addition to collection!
