Set of 10 Heisey
Moongleam ACORN & LEAVES Luncheon Plates
Manufactured by Heisey
in the late 1920's & early 1930s, this beautiful set of 10 elegant
glass luncheon plates are in the "Acorn & Leaves" pattern #1246
(aka "Oak Leaf"). I believe this design was created to
compliment & accessorize the "Charter Oak" (#3362) stemware
line. Pieces are in the "Moongleam" color, a brilliant green
that almost glows. Pattern consists of an embossed garland of oak leaves
& acorn clusters around the edge of the plate. Bases have smooth
polished ground foot rings. Plates are approximately 8" in diameter.
All have some degree of roughness & tiny nicks on the ground edges; about half also have some
small flakes (worst shown below), which was undoubtedly caused by poor stacking.
Rims have an occasional pin-point nick that can be felt more than seen.
All have some light utensil scratches. No chips, cracks or flakes.
PS: Don't
forget, the holidays are right around the corner! It's time to make sure
that your table setting is complete.
