Sweet faced ANTIQUE CELLULOID DOLL WITH ORIGINAL CLOTHING. She measures approx. 10 inches tall. Real mohair wig is original to the doll and was attached over the dolls original molded hair. (This was done to many antique dolls from the manufacturer, don't ask me why they molded hair when they were going to attach a wig!) Original clothes are attached with straight pins. I did not remove them to see if there was a mark but I felt through them and didn't feel any. Shawl is made from green velvet with tiny metallic pieces attached some of which are gone. Mostly intact. Dress and apron appear to be embroidered silk, a little faded here and there and a stain line on bottom back of dress. Stain did not affect the inside of slip or lining both of which seem to be made of gauzey material. Original cotton panties. Socks and shoes are molded on and hand-painted. Head and torso one piece, arms and legs are jointed. Features are expertly hand-painted and all original to the doll. There doesn't seem to be any damage to the celluloid whatsoever.
