Lot with 10 unusual pieces of scarce OPAQUE PASTEL GREEN beach picked sea glass, found on remote beaches in the Pacific Northwest. Each of these came from the handle of a glass cup, mug, or perhaps a small pitcher.
This glass is typically Depression-era to around the 1950s, and comes from glassware sometimes referred to as "Jadeite" (or Jade-ite) ware, sold under the trade name "Fire King." Unlike most sea glass we find, this glassware was heat-tempered, which made it more durable on one hand, but also more brittle, on the other. As result, it is quite unusual to find smoothly rounded pieces without chips and fresh breaks. Although not often mentioned among glass collectors, this color is about of the same scarcity grade as cornflower blue, but condition tends to be a problem.
These pieces are in very nice condition for this kind of glass-- close to flawless with rounded shapes and full all-over frosting; very difficult to find in this condition. Sizes run from about 9/16" (14mm) to a little over 1" (25mm) long, with a variety of diameters. Beautiful and unusual group in a scarcer color!

Thank you for looking at items in my eBay store!
If you like what you see, please sign up for the "Store Newsletter" (bottom of left column) to receive periodic information about new items.
I do combine shipping if you buy multiple lots, and I also will combine store and auction purchases if made within a week of each other. Note low shipping costs-- most lots ship via USPS first class mail to save expenses. $5.00 to ship and "handle" a single little piece of glass by Priority Mail strikes me as a bit extravagant. Priority Mail is used for bulkier and heavier items.
Note: All glass I offer for sale on eBay is from my personal collection, and is "natural," as found by me on various local and regional beaches. I do not tumble, treat, oil or otherwise "improve" the glass I sell-- what you see is what you get. I have been a seaglass collector for about 40 years-- since I was six years old. For more information, please see the additional store pages (links at left) about grading, as well as my "About Me" page, or my eBay "My World" profile and blog pages.
