$100. A. T-3. Cr.3. No.1228.
|
| $100. A. T-3. Cr.3. No.1228.
Train facing right. Liberty, left. Signed by Clitherall and Elmore on May 16,1861. The endorsement on the back, in light red ink, reads "Issued July 8, 1861 Capt Mark Jackson CSA." VF-EF, and with the eye appeal of a higher grade example. The margins are adequate, though close at the sides. The color is rich, and the paper quality is excellent. There are traces of old stamp hinge mountings on the back, but these are hardly visible, and easily removable. The military endorsement on the back adds historic value, and is hardly detectable from the front.
