Iron picutre, the unique folk art of Wuhu ,Anhui Province,China,can trace back to the period of Kangxi Times in Qing Dynasty.It has been about three hundred years so far.Iron picutre combined many means of artistic crafts such as "relievo","woodcut","papercut" and so on .The hammer takes the place of pen, and the iron replaces by ink, it has a great craft and art value.It was created by Tang Tianchi (or Tang Peng) who is a blacksmith of Kangxi Times in Wuhu.It was said Tang is the neighbor of artist Xiao Yun and edified by the artist, then created this craft.Now Wuhu Iron picture has been selected to be one of the first set of national immateriality culture inheritance.
