CONDITION: GOOD plus: light to moderate cockling on bottom left side of front cover and pages of about half of book (aprox. 1 x 4 inches) from some dried moisture damage - also light narrow line of cockling across tops of pages--NO MOLD OR MILDEW NOR ODORS - does not interfere with text or lillustrations; light very small scuffing on half-title page from the moisture having cause this page to slightly adhere to the inside from cover; light to moderate edge and corner wear on cover; light rubbing on glossy cover; NO spine creasing; p. 76 has a few light stains from raindrops (?); ELSE INSIDE OF BOOK is clean, intact, no writing, no underlining, no highlighting, no dogeared pages, no soiling, no tears, no odors

Summerhill School is an independent British boarding school that was founded in 1921 by Alexander Sutherland Neill with the belief that the school should be made to fit the child, rather than the other way around. It is still run as a democratic community; the running of the school is conducted in the school meetings, which anyone, staff or pupil, may attend, and at which everyone has an equal vote.
Summerhill is noted for its philosophy that children learn best with freedom from coercion. All lessons are optional, and pupils are free to choose what to do with their time. Neill founded Summerhill with the belief that "the function of a child is to live his own life — not the life that his anxious parents think he should live, not a life according to the purpose of an educator who thinks he knows best."

ABOUT MEDIA MAIL - It is the lowest cost way to ship books in the US. It is extremely reliable but it is NOT fast unless you live very close to me (West Coast US). It can take anywhere from 4 - 20 BUSINESS DAYS to arrive (business days are Monday through Friday, no holidays). When you pay me, you can figure out from that formula about how long at the least or at the most, it might take for your book to arrive. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska you can pretty well count on it taking a month to get your book, at least. If you are in a hurry, ask me about upgrading to Priority Mail and I'll change your invoice.

If your book seems to take too long, contact your local Post Office - sometimes PO's overlook Media Mail or sometimes try to deliver a pkg and you don't get a notice
