Design Guidelines
Set your image to 3.75" x 2.25". This allows 1/8" of "bleed" on all sides. Bleed allows your background to go all the way to the edge of the card.
Fill the entire area with the background you want on the card, either a solid color, a gradient fill, a picture, or whatever.
Put a rectangle sized 3.5" x 2" centered over your background. This is just for a guide for you. This rectangle represents where the printer will cut your printed cards. You MUST remove this rectangle before sending me your file.
Put another rectangle sized 3.375" x 1.875" centered over your background. This rectangle represents the limits where your text, logos, etc. will go. You don't want anything too close to the edge of the card so this box makes sure there is 1/8" of space between the edge and anything you want printed. You MUST remove this rectangle also before sending me your file.
Make sure that any graphics you put on your card are high-resolution (at least 200-300 DPI). Most of the graphics you get from websites are low resolution (like 72 DPI) to allow for faster downloading. When they get printed on an industrial printing press they won't look good.
