Offered is one 1,000 gram (35.27 ounces) can of Simichrome Polish.

Simichrome is a high quality polish, made in Germany, that is great for polishing just about anything metal.  From fine jewelry to the chrome on your Harley Davidson the polish will do a great job.  A little bit goes a long way.

It is also great for testing for bakelite.  This early plastic can be hard to tell from some of the other early plastics.  Rub the polish into the material to be tested with a tissue or white cloth. If it is bakelite, the pink polish turns a dark yellow. 

If it does not test positive, there is a possibility that it has been polished with simichrome at some point in its life, but most often, you can rely on this test. 

It is a great polish for chrome, silver, aluminum, brass...virtually any metal. It works well polishing sterling silver.

We have been told by customers that they have used it on leather with good results.  We have not tried this ourselves, so if you are experimenting, always start with a small, out of the way spot to test.
