I am the only person to have ever sold a 102nd FA Challenge Coin on eBay. This coin was distributed when we returned home from our deployment in Iraq. The 102nd has recently rolled up their colors. This coin is a must have for all 26th YD or 2nd Corps of Cadets collectors. It is a beautiful 50mm, 54 gram Challenge Coin from my former unit, HHB 1-102nd FA Regiment from the Massachusetts Army National Guard that was headquartered out of Quincy, MA. My armory was in Hudson, MA and we had other batteries with us from Methuen, MA and Lynn, MA.
It says on the front: HHB 1st BATTALION 102nd FIELD ARTILLERY. It has our crest that says SIC ITUR AD ASTRA. Under the crest are crossed cannons. It also has the green patches of the Brigades that we worked under. 42nd Military Police BDE and 18th Military Police BDE. Under that it says OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM III 2004-2006. "PATRIOTS!" The wording around the red border says ALWAYS PLACE THE MISSION FIRST. NEVER ACCEPT DEFEAT. NEVER QUIT. NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN COMRADE. The back of the coin says: Around the red border, TASK-FORCE 793rd MP. HHB 1-102 FA FWD. CAMP ASHRAF, IRAQ. FOB SPARTAN. It has a beautiful red, white and black picture of Iraq with Camp Ashraf's location pointed out. The crests for the 793d Military Police Battalion and Multi National Corps Iraq is on this side also. 793d MP crest says FACTA CUM HONORE. In the back is a picture of a tower and c-wire. This challenge coin is top notch. It has a protective epoxy coating on it to keep it from scratching. It is bronze color with red, green, black and blue coloring. It has beveled gold edges too.
In the history of the 102d FA, they participated in both World Wars under the storied 26th Yankee Division. Now we have the honor of serving in OIF III under the 18th MP and 42nd MP Brigades.

This auction is for ONE coin. It is a representation of the coin you would get, not necessarily the actual coin pictured. I may or may not have had a few like this in stock, identical to the one in the photo, at one time or another. I don't have time to scan each copy of the same coin. The coin in the photo, may or may not have a flaw, such as a scratch etc. The coin you get, may or may not have that same flaw. You can judge the size of the coin with the blue ruler in the photo. Each black line is 1/16th of an inch.
I store my coins in either a vinyl coin flip or a zip bag and bubble wrap to protect them during storage and shipment.

Payment must be sent within 5 days of closing of this auction. If sent by mail, you must let me know it has been sent to avoid the item being re-listed. If payment is received, by Monday noon EST, you can be sure it will get to the post office that day. I go every Monday that isn't a holiday. Other days of the week are more sporadic.
Please note that there is a handling charge included with the posted shipping and insurance price. This is to defray the miscellaneous costs of shipping your product in packaging that will keep it safe during the shipping and handling process. For each purchase, International buyers are required to pay $1 for insurance (just 11 cents for US addresses). This is to protect you and me from the high level of theft in these transactions. Because of fraud and theft by a few bad apples, I won't be selling "lots" of more than 1 item to any non-US addresses any more. I appologize to all of you who are honest, but I am sure you understand why I am doing this. I gladly ship to FPO/APO addresses.

INTERNATIONAL S&H IS MORE THAN DOMESTIC, BECAUSE I HAVE TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR YOUR PACKAGE. I AM VERY SORRY IF YOU FEEL THE CHARGES ARE TOO MUCH FOR YOU.
