This beautiful and very rare tektite is considered an Anda type after similar stones were found in the Anda peninsula in Indonesia. Anda type tektites are very rare and highly desired with few examples being found in Thailand. Most of these uncommon tektites have signature markings similar to a rodent chew patterns and even a smaller amount of these stones have the markings aligned to form a complex flow pattern. This type of tektite was considered to be chemically etched from erosion of acidic soils similar to moldavite markings. This is inconsistent as the Anda marks are nearly polished with zero erosion to the flow lines and minute pits formed in flight. This is a rare offering for the most serious collectors.
