12 Blue Slate Turkey Hatching Eggs
Up for auction are 12 Purebred Blue Slate Turkey Hatching Eggs
I started turkeys as part of my FFA SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) a few years ago. Last year I had a devasting experience when my barn started on fire on memorial day. I lost several of my adult birds and all the babies I had hatched up to that point. I rebuilt with the help of my family and started over. Today I am raising seven different varieties of turkeys including the Wild Rio Grande and the Wild Easterns. What started out as just getting a few turkeys to butcher for Thanksgiving has grown into providing a place on our planet for these beautiful birds.
In my opinion the blue slates along with my pencilled palms are one of the calmest and friendliest of my breads. I have sold several pairs and trios this spring and even had an older couple come back for more after buying a pair because they couldn't believe that they would come up and eat right out of their hands and try to get in their laps.
All of my birds are wormed regularly and are fed a complete laying ration along with oster shells, alfalfa and bread. The alfalfa and bread are their treats and they love them!
Please Note: I do not wash eggs. I keep fresh straw in all my nest boxes so that you receive nice clean eggs. All eggs are double wrapped and boxed to get to you the safest way possible. I always try to send a few extra if possible just in case. Eggs are gathered fresh several times a day, our incubators are full and fertility has been tested and is good. I will include a flyer that has several hatching tips that I have learned from all of the wonderful turkey breeders that have helped us out.
Eggs will be fresh and fertile when shipped, but due to postal handling, dropping, the occasional x-ray, the weather, various incubating methods, power outages, human error, ect. I cannot guarantee or be responsible for your hatch once they are shipped. Eggs are fragile and don't have to be broken for the embroy to not develope. That is why I take such special care in wrapping.
If you are in a position and would like to pick them up at the farm just email and we can make arrangements.
***Payment is Instant Paypal Only -- No E-Checks.***
E-Checks take four or more days to clear and we want to ship your eggs out as soon as possible. If you must pay with an E-Check please contact me first. Thank You!
"SHIPPING NOTE -- PLEASE READ"
We no longer mark the boxes with a label that states "Fragile Hatching Eggs" In doing this it was taking almost a week or more to get to you. We quit doing that this week and 8 out of 9 orders shipped out on Monday were delivered by Wednesday. All reports so far are no broken eggs. They arrived great. So please leave a phone number for the Post Office to call you when your box arrives. Thank you!
Eggs are shipped priority Mail with delivery confirmation. I will combine shipping on auctions. Shipping and handling charges are as follows: 6-$12.00, 12-$15.00, 18-$20, 24-$25, 30-$30 and 36-$35. I don't offer shipping insurance because the post office does not cover eggs and you would be wasting your money. I do provide delivery confirmation and will provide you with the tracking number when they are shipped. If there is a delay because of weather and the girls stopped laying, I will email you and let you know.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Please leave feedback once you receive the eggs and we will do the same.
Good Luck & Happy Hatching!
