12 Elegant & Ornate MOP & Silverplate Dessert Knives

TWELVE ANTIQUE & ORNATE SILVERPLATE & MOP DESSERT / TEA KNIVES FROM ENGLAND

This auction is for an extremely fine and antique (c.1900) lot of 12 silverplate & mother of pearl dessert / tea knives found in a local Pasadena estate. Lot comprises twelve 7 3/4" long knives. Knives sport beautiful hand-carved mother of pearl (pearl) handles and silverplated blunt blades. Handles sport ornately embossed silverplated ferrules and finials. Blades are marked with an English mark I haven't been able to identify. Eight of the knives are found in very good, close to pristine condition. Three knives show light / minor areas of damage (plate loss and a small chip to mop handle) and repairs (handle and blade have been re-attached). For the most part, except for one knife that does show heavy plate loss to blade, all knives will make a great addition to your collection and will make your formal dining experience sparkle with class and elegance. Knives come in two original maroon-colored silver storage bags that roll up for easy storing.  Please view my photos below for a better appreciation of actual condition. Offered for a low opening bid and no reserve.
