This is a group of 12 unusual fossil jaw sections containing many teeth from a single site in South Carolina. I assume these jaws are from various species of fish, but I absolutely could be wrong & some may be from other kinds of creatures. The condition is excellent overall, with great detail. This should make a great group for research or a collection. The largest jaw section measures 7/16" (11mm) in length. The winning bidder will receive the exact group of jaws pictured! They were found in Oligocene age deposits, in the Chandler Bridge Formation, near Goose Creek, South Carolina. The site was in a subdivision known as "The Hamlets". Thanks for looking & good luck. |
