Composition
Description:
Made entirely of composition, we believe this to be a very early Kewpie doll.
We did not find any markings.
Appears to have been blonde, but most of the paint on the hair has faded away.
Facial paint is still pretty solid.
Includes shorts/pants which may be original but we are not sure.
Dimensions:
Measures Approx. 13" tall
Condition:
The arms are detached but included. Needs to be re-strung onto the doll.
The fingers are mostly missing.
The surface of the doll appears to be more dirty than damages, and needs a professional cleaning.
Some paint lost, more visible on its left leg than other spots. Some crazing but not overall. Chip missing from back of bottom of neck.
This would be a great project for any antique doll restorer!
