This auction is for a felt cloth doll by Alma which is very similar to Lenci and made in Italy.  She was made sometime around 1930 on.  She is approximately 13 inches tall.  She has a molded head of felt that is hand painted with side glancing brown eyes.  She is wearing a sewn on black mohair wig.  Her left foot is stamped with Alma, Made In Italy.  She has folded felt applied ears.  On each hand, the four fingers are sewn together and the thumb is separate.  She is wearing her original US Navy outfit with Anchor brass buttons.  She has on cotton underthings underneath.  She is also wearing a felt hat and black socks.  One sock has some holes in the toe area.  She has no shoes.  She is in good condition but does have some age staining and light soiling of the hands.  Her clothing is faded from time.  Her face color and painting is good with only a couple of small moth holes - not all the way through.  She is from a smoke free home and is completely odor free.  Her doll stand is not included.  She is very sweet and will make a great addition to your collection!
