In most cases inclusions do not mar the gem's beauty, nor endanger its durability. Without high magnification these inclusions are invisible. However, the fewer the inclusions the rarer the gem. Generally, if a gem is SI-2 or above, it is flawless to the naked eye. If any tiny inclusions are visible to the unaided eye, the gem is usually graded I-1.
