14 x 61 Strip Soft Box w/ Free Mounting Ring - NEW

Brand new JP 14" x 61"(35cmx155cm) photo soft box made with thick, tough and quality laminated material. Highly reflective silver interior backed with solid black nylon, this soft box comes with 4 mounting rods, one metal mounting ring and one zippered black nylon pouch.

It has a baffle screen to reduce hot spot, a feature found only in more expensive unit. The baffle and the white surface are attached to the light box with velcro for easy installation or removal.

Good for portrait, still-life and commercial application. With the baffle and white surface, this unit produces the desired soft wrapping lighting effect. Removing the baffle and the white surface it produces a high contrast effect and the light will be intensive and more centered .

All these stuffs are packed in the zippered pouch for easy carrying. The mounting ring has a diameter of 5 inches and with the turning of 4 thumb screws it accepts studio strobes/monolight heads with a diameter from 5 inches down to 3 1/2 inches.

You have to consider the safe wattage for a soft box if you are in the position of using continuous lighting such as digital still photography, film still photography, video and movie production. The safe wattage for this soft box is 500W.

1. Insert four metal rods w/plastic ends into the little pouch on the four corners of the soft box tent.

2. Insert the other ends of the rods into the small holes on the side of the ring. In doing so you have to use your wrist strength to bend the rods in an arch shape to form a frame of a tent. Do it in pairs and diagonally.

3. Mount the ring (now with the soft box tent) on your studio strobe and fix it there by turning the four thumb screws on the ring.

4. Attach the inner baffle and then the front diffusing screen.
