14Kt Vintage WHITE JADEITE "Love" Pendant 11.5 grams!

Vintage 14Kt White Jadeite "LOVE" Pendant

This is a 14Kt White Jadeite pendant that has been in the family for 33 years. It was purchased from "The Goldsmith LTD" who specialized in "Hand Made Jewelry from Original Design" at the Water Tower Place in Chicago Illinois on Aug. 15 1976.

Pendant:    Measures 1 7/16" or 36mm round. (1 11/16" or 42mm from bale) This all natural stone has spotty and clustered white and brownish yellow markings within the stone. It is quite unique. When held up to the light you can see them even more intensified.  Depending on the light source, you can also see the slightest hint of green.  (As some of the pictures show)  

The pendant is not stamped but has been tested and confirmed to be 14k.  It weighs a total of 11.5 grams including the gold.

Condition: Has signs of wear that commensurates with it's age and use. The pendant feels hard, yet lustrous to the touch even though it was worn quite a bit.  The outside rim is shiny, but the rim near the gold lettering (on both sides) is not as polished.  Under magnification I was able to detect some scratches,  but are difficult to see with the naked eye.  Overall, this is a beautiful pendant and very well made.

Please keep in mind that this is a vintage used item and not new.
