What do you mean by any
combination of tests?
We understand that there are numerous factors that affect the menstrual
cycle and the chances of conceiving including important considerations such as
irregular cycles, PCOS, hormone treatments, a lazy ovary, previous miscarriages,
breast feeding etc., etc. The purpose of this fertilitypack is designed to enable you to select the number and the
type of tests you need to ensure that the pack you
receive fits your particular situation perfectly.
How do I choose which
combination to have?
Very simple - just buy the item and go through to check-out in the
normal way. When you check out there is the opportunity then to leave a message
to seller – simply click on the “Add message” icon and this will open a box
allowing you to leave us the message about the combination that you would like.
Alternatively you can always send us a message via eBay. Simply tell us the
combination you want - 15 pregnancy tests, or 15 ovulation tests, or 5
pregnancy tests + 10 ovulation tests etc. The only condition is that the
combination can't be more than 15. If you buy multiple lots then you can do the
same so if you buy 2 lots then that is 30 tests in any combination you like.
What if I don't tell you the combination of tests I would
like?
If you forget to tell us the combination you want then we will send
you 10 ovulation tests and 5 pregnancy tests. So if this is not what you want
then make sure you tell us what you do want before we despatch
your order.
How good are these
tests?
We now
sell literally millions of these tests in the UK and throughout the world - they
are made specifically for us and comply with CE (European Community) and FDA
(United States) rules and regulations and every pack has the approval details
printed on them. We also sell them to some of the largest Charity organisations
such as the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) and to
large parts of the UK National Health Service (NHS). The tests we supply to the
NHS are identical to the ones we sell to you and every batch is checked
religiously for quality and accuracy - they are more than 99% accurate. As for
the expiry dates, they will always be at least 1 year away and more often nearly
2 years (which is the legal maximum).
How soon will you ship, how long will it take, is it insured and
is the packaging discreet?
Provided
your order and payment is received before 3.30pm UK time on a business day it
will go out the same day by 1st class Royal Mail (or Air Mail if you have an
overseas address). All packages have no indication of content, are marked
"Private and Confidential" and the contents are not visible or identifiable from
the outside of the package. All shipments to all destinations are fully insured
and covered in the event of loss or damage - though we will require you to

occurrences when your shipment is lost or damaged.
All
overseas shipments are via Air Mail and usually arrive in 2-4 days for Europe,
3-7 days for North America and 5-10 days to Australasia. All packages are
correctly labelled including completed Customs documentation and our specific
FDA Import Licence number for all North American shipments.
Pregnancy Tests
How does a home pregnancy test work?
A home pregnancy test measures the presence of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (H.C.G.) in your urine. H.C.G. is produced in the placenta shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining. This hormone then builds up rapidly in your body in the first few days following implantation. Usually H.C.G. can be detected by a home pregnancy test 7-10 days after conception. The further in to the pregnancy you are the higher the levels of H.C.G. in your urine.
When should I do the test?
The tests can be taken at any time of the day. However, we do recommend that you test first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated. Do not drink large amounts of fluid in an attempt to increase the volume of urine as this may dilute the urine making H.C.G. more difficult to detect.
What does the test result look like?
Not Pregnant Pregnant
How long will it take before I can read the result?
You can read the results after just 3 minutes.
What is the difference between home tests and those done by a doctor?
Many doctors and clinics use home pregnancy tests to verify the results, in which case they are exactly the same. Occasionally, some women may be given a blood test, but they aren’t very different from home pregnancy tests either. Both types look for the presence of H.C.G. in your body.
What should I do with my results?
If your pregnancy test results are positive, you should consult your doctor to discuss your pregnancy and what steps and precautions should be taken next. In addition, if your test is negative and you still suspect you may be pregnant, you may want to confirm your test results with another home pregnancy test a few days later. If you test too early you may get a negative result because not enough of the H.C.G. hormone has built up in your system.
If I see 2 lines but one is fainter than the other is this a positive result?
Yes, if 2 lines appear you are pregnant no matter how faint the lines appear.
What are 20 mIU very early pregnancy tests and
what does it all mean?
Most midstream pregnancy tests measure at a sensitivity level of 25-40 mIU/ml but most women want to know they are pregnant as soon as possible. These 20mIU sensitivity tests will show whether you are pregnant earlier than virtually all the midstream and digital pregnancy tests you buy from the supermarket or drug store shelves.
A 20 mIU
pregnancy test will show a faint line at a level of 20 mIU of H.C.G. (the hormone
that is produced in large amounts when you are pregnant). A normal non-pregnant
woman is at a level of 5 mIU or less and from the first day of becoming
pregnant the level of H.C.G. doubles every day for the first 3 months until the
level is at several hundred thousand. The average woman could, therefore, show
a faint line only 2 days after conception but if the level started at 1 mIU then
it would be 4 days after conception that the line would show. Accordingly it
can vary from person to person and the actual day of conception in the cycle
can vary slightly depending on the day the egg was released from the ovary and
the day it was fertilised. Normally we would say that these tests would be
certain to show a positive result 6 days after conception. On the 7th day the
line would be much darker and so on. Having said that we have had women say
they showed positive after only 3 days!! The risk of testing too early being
that the test could be a 'chemical pregnancy' as the fertilised egg
may fail and turn out to be just a heavier or later period than normal. Experts estimate
that up to 50% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage and many of these
manifest themselves as slightly later or heavier periods.
Can anything affect the results of these tests?
Drinking alcohol, painkillers, oral contraceptives, antibiotics and other common drugs will not affect the result of these tests. Only medicines that contain H.C.G. can produce a false positive result. If you are unsure about your result or your period has still not arrived then you should see your doctor for advice.
Ovulation Tests
A pregnancy begins with conception. A child is conceived when the male sperm successfully fertilises the female egg. Successful fertilisation is most likely during a 24-hour period following the L.H. surge. Since this window is only open once a month and for a short period of time, being able to predict the L.H surge is very helpful when trying to become pregnant.
We have selected these ovulation tests for their price, accuracy and reliability.
When should I do the test?
To
determine when to begin testing, you need to work out the length of
your menstrual cycle. The length of your cycle is from the first day of
your period to the last day before your next period starts (count the
first day of bleeding as day 1). Calculate what the usual length of
your menstrual cycle has been the last few months. Once you have worked
out the length of your cycle refer to the chart in the instructions to
determine on which day of your menstrual cycle you should begin testing.
Why should I avoid testing first thing in the morning?
You should avoid testing your urine first thing in the morning, as the first day of the L.H. surge may not be detected.
What does the test result look like?

When the surge is present the test line will be almost as dark or darker than the control line
Once I receive a positive result, when is the best time to have intercourse?
Ovulation usually follows the start of the L.H. surge within 24-48 hours. This is the time when you are at your most fertile, therefore you should have intercourse during this time.
How long will it take before I can read the result?
A positive result can often be read in under 40
seconds but to confirm a negative result (no test line or the test line is much
fainter than the control line) you should wait the full 10
minutes.
What happens if after using the tests provided I have still not detected my L.H. surge?
Most women with regular cycles will detect their L.H. Surge in 5 days or under. However, if you have irregular cycles you may need to test for longer and may require additional ovulation tests to detect your L.H. Surge
I have recently come off the contraceptive pill will this affect my result?
As the pill disrupts your natural hormone balance it may take a few months for your periods to return to normal. You may want to wait until you have had 2 normal periods before starting to use this ovulation test. Please be aware that pregnancy and breast feeding could affect the results of this test.
Will alcohol or other common medications affect the results of this test?
No, but you should consult your doctor if you are taking any hormonal treatments.
Can I use the ovulation test for contraception?
No, the test is not designed to prevent contraception. As sperm can survive for 72 hours you might still become pregnant if you had intercourse before you detected your L.H. Surge
I had a positive result for the L.H. Surge and had sexual intercourse during this period but I have still not become pregnant.
There are many factors that can affect your fertility. It can take many healthy couples months to achieve pregnancy. You may need to use these tests for a few months before pregnancy occurs. If after 6 months of trying you have still not become pregnant, you should visit your doctor for advice.
How dark does the test line need to be to show I am
ovulating normally and what if I get no lines in the test
window?
At any sensitivity level
if you get no test lines followed by faint lines for a couple of days which then
fade back to no lines then that is the perfect indication that you have ovulated
normally during those days. If, however, you get no lines at all in the test
window with these tests for 2 months then you should contact
us for advice as we may be able to help. The email address is shown
below.
What is the "fertility pill" and how does it
affect your ovulation tests?
Clomid/Serophene are brand names for
a drug known as Clomiphene citrate - commonly referred to as the "fertility
pill". Letrozole is a very similar drug and works in exactly the same way. They
are the most popular and most prescribed drugs for women who are not ovulating
at all, have PCOS or suffer from irregular periods. They have proved very
successful with 60-80% of women ovulating normally when taking the drugs and
with 50% of those on these drugs going on to get pregnant. They have few side
effects and these are generally minor - your doctor can tell you
more.
All these drugs are taken for 5 days (days 3-7 or 5-9 of your
cycle) and are essentially a boost to your fertility hormones including LH. For
this reason, if you are on any of these drugs, you should start to use these ovulation tests
3 days after finishing the drugs i.e. on day 10 or day 12 onwards as before this
you could get a false result.
What is ovulation and the process of conception?
As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words" so we have included a short video (don’t forget to turn the sound up) which we feel gives an excellent short description of ovulation, including the whole process of conception (fertilisation and implantation) from the release of the egg from the ovary right up to the implantation of the fertilised egg at which point pregnancy has occurred, HCG is produced and the embryo starts to grow. If you have problems viewing the video or have a slow internet connection wait until the video is fully buffered before playing the entire video - i.e. press pause once the video starts loading and wait until loading is complete before pressing the start button.
