This listing is brand new, fresh production of 5 rolls of 300ft (One thousand five hundred feet) cross-linked Polyethylene (PEX) with Oxygen Barrier. You will be getting 5 rolls of 300' PEX
Contact us for other quotes in length or size requirements or if you need without O2 barrier. We carry 1/2", 3/4, and 1" ID with and without O2 barrier.
With our factory located in Europe producing PEX for the past 20 years, it has a proven track record of quality. We have all the ASTM/NSF/CSA certifications and specifications which are labeled on the PEX tubing as required. It covers all codes in North America including Massachusetts plumbing board which is one of the toughest. The quality, material, workmanship, and certifications in our product are the same as Wirsbo but you are buying direct without the high costs. You can use Wirsbo fittings and tools on this PEX. See certifications section below.
Feel free to contact for brochure.
APPLICATIONS:
- PEX Radiant tubing can be used in concrete slabs, under floor, under raised floor, outdoor concrete slabs or ground to melt ice or snow, and solar heating through the building.
- The Radiant tubing can also be used for PEX for potable water since it has all the certifications
- Compatible with all fittings such as pressure fittings, crimp fittings, and even Wirsbo fittings that are ASTM/NSF/CSA.
- Although the PEX has UV resistance, PEX should not be placed in the sun or have UV exposure.
DESCRIPTION:
The high tech tubing is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) with high molecular with resins. The polyethylene (PE) is cross-linked (X) by a chemical process with high rates of pressure and temperature. During the chemical reaction, the cross-linking occurs in a secondary "beaming" operation driven by the strength of the radiation beam which the molecules form carbon-carbon links with each other and creating a tri-dimension structure. Think of the cross-link as a mesh around the pipe which allows durable expansion and return to original shape. This improves the properties of ordinary polyethylene (PE), giving it the characteristics of new type of high-tech material. The pipes are designed for working pressures up to 24 bars (348 PSI) and for working temperatures of up to 203 degrees F (95 C) but can withstand temperature surges of up to 230 degrees F (110 C). Certification ratings are far under designed production ratings. See certified specifications below.
This PEX will fit all ASTM/NSF/CSA fittings. If you get a kink, you can remove kinks with heat. Can take pressure and return to the original shape. Same goes with freezing. If water freezes, the PEX is designed to expand without bursting and return to original shape when it thaws. This is the greatness of cross-linked polyethylene.
- 5/8" inch inside diameter.
- Available Colors: Red
- Oxygen barrier is encased with the walls of the pipe, protecting the layer from physical or ultraviolet light damage. This protected layer renders the pipe virtually resistant to gasses getting into the line.
- All tubing is marked so there is no measuring or guessing in the length. The marks are designated in FTXXX where XXX is the foot number of the spool. Example. If you need 300ft of a 900ft spool, you start at beginning and make cut at FT300.
- Good flexibility with comfortable 6 inch bend diameter. Can go a little smaller without kinking. See Picture.
CONTINUOUS ASTM RATINGS:
- 73.4F at 160 PSI
- 180F at 100 PSI
- 200F at 80 PSI
CERTIFICATIONS:
Pipe has been developed, tested and approved for central, solar, and under the floor heating systems and also for hot and cold potable water service to the following standards which are all marked on the tubing. As required by codes, all certifications are labeled on the PEX.
American Society of Testing Materials.
ASTM F876 - Standard Specification for Crosslinked Polyethylene (PEX) Tubing
This specification covers crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing that is outside diameter controlled, made in standard thermoplastic tubing dimension ratios, and pressure rated for water at three temperatures (73.4F @ 160 psi, 180F @ 100 psi, 200F @ 80 psi). Included are requirements and test methods for material, workmanship, dimensions, sustained pressure, burst pressure, environmental stress cracking, stabilizer migration resistance, and degree of crosslinking. Methods of marking are also given.
ASTM F877 - Standard Specification for Crosslinked Polyethylene (PEX) Plastic Hot- and Cold-Water Distribution Systems
This specification covers requirements, test methods, and methods of marking for crosslinked polyethylene plastic hot- and cold-water distribution systems components made in one standard dimension ratio and intended for 100 psi (0.69 MPa) water service up to and including a maximum working temperature of 180F (82C). Components are comprised of tubing and fittings. Requirements and test methods are included for materials, workmanship, dimensions and tolerances, burst pressure, sustained pressure, excessive temperature and pressure, temperature cycling tests, and bend strength. Also included are tests related to system malfunctions. The components covered by this specification are intended for use in residential and commercial, hot and cold, potable water distribution systems as well as sealed central heating, including under-floor heating systems.
CSA B137.5 - Canadian Standards Association for Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX) Tubing Systems for Pressure Applications
Gives requirements for crosslinked polyethylene pressure tubing systems. Components that are covered in this standard are meant for use in residential and commercial hot and cold potable water distribution systems, also sealed central-heating (including under-floor) systems.

NSF 61- Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects
This Standard is intended to cover specific materials or products that come into contact with: drinking water, drinking water treatment chemicals, or both. The focus of the Standard is evaluation of contaminants or impurities imparted indirectly to drinking water.
NSF 14 - Plastic Piping System Components and Related Materials
The physical, performance, and health effects requirements in this Standard apply to thermoplastic and thermoset plastic piping system components, including but not limited to pipes, fittings, valves, joining materials, gaskets, and appurtenances. The established physical, performance, and health effects requirements also apply to materials (resin or blended compounds) and ingredients used to manufacture plastic piping system components. It provides definitions and requirements for materials, ingredients, products, quality assurance, marking, and record keeping
