High end desktop from 1994, back when the Pentium 90mhz was top of the line. This model has dual cpu's, needing windows NT 3.5x or 4.0 to use them both, or some type of linux. The computer uses two DALLAS modules, one for NVRAM bios settings, and one for realtime clock. If they are dead, they need to be replaced before the computer will boot up. New ones are still available from digikey and work fine. 3x PCI slots, and 1 PCI/EISA slot, no onboard video. Onboard SCSI is by NCR, and rated for 10MB/s. Hard drive and cdrom are SCSI, with room for a second hard drive. There is no onboard IDE. 512k L2 cache built on the board, 256MB max memory, all memory is cacheable. Very interesting computer from the time period before Pentium Pro was available. Overall build quality is excellent, no cheap feel here. Single cpu version of this desktop is the TD-3, and dual cpu version is TD-4. TD stands for Technical Desktop. Very little information about these computers online, almost nothing actually. Best suited for an old computer enthusiast who knows his way around 1990's hardware.Read full review
