Up for auction is 1537 THE EPISTOLAE PAULI(THE EPISTLE TO THE HEBREWS IN NEW TESTAMENT) by THOMAE DE VIO
written in Latin. As the title suggest, this is a careful translation from 15th century that emphasizes on EPISTLE PAUL with the epistle to the Hebrews.. The
cover page has plates and engraving that has Hebrew writing and woodcuts throughout. This book
is one of the most important pieces of religious history that contributes
greatly to Christianity in New Testament. The author THOMAE DE VIO had been an
influential scholar and a cardinal in 15th century whose work have
been cited endlessly by modern scholars on subjects pertaining to Christianity
especially on the genuine epistles of PAUL that was written to HEBREWS. This is
truly one of the rarest books around. The condition of the book is shown in the
pictures. The binding is tight and everything intact. Due to the age, there are
minor flaws to the cover as well as on the pages. As you can see from one of
the photos, there are water marks on several pages in the book. Also, in the
photo, there is couple of pages that are attached with some sort of an
adhesive. On the back of the cover, the corner part has some cover chipped away which is more than expected for a book that has been around for
470 years. This book is very large, it measures 8.5 in x 12.5 in x 2 in. Such rare books will only increase in value, thus, it is not only a valuable collection but also a good investment. :

As I do with all of my auctions, I would like to emphasize
that I believe in the basic goodness of people. I believe this is the
fundamental foundation that we operate in a market place such as ebay. It is
this belief that ultimately drives sellers and buyers to go forward with online
transactions. I like to maintain such notion and contribute to enhancing this
basic goodness of people so that all of us can operate without worrying about
getting taken by some dishonest seller. On this note, I stand by every word
that I've stated in this auction. Thank you.
