This is a scarce offering, a Bi-Folio Bible leaf from a large Elephant Folio King James version Holy Bible printed by John Field in 1660 marking the Restoration of King Charles II, May 29th 1660. These two leaves are still attached(random selection) as originally printed. It measures in total about 18" X 22"!! Each leaf is about 11" X 18"(they are still attached just as originally printed!) and are in very good condition and beautifully RULED IN RED! This was done for the wealthy by a scribe(or someone similarly trained). These would make a nice unusual gift! Please let me know if you desire a Bible leaf with a specific verse from the Bible or a specific Bible engraving. PLEASE NOTE: it is recommended that antiquarian cloth leaves be framed with archival(and acid free) materials, or if stored(this offers the best protection), with acid free materials. Avoiding direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting is highly recommended(avoiding any light is best). If you are not going to frame your leaves, let me know and I can include two acid free sheets to protect your leaves.
