Beautifully penned English vellum indenture dated 1661 during the reign of King Charles II being the conveyance of property in Alderton in the County of Suffolk between John Newport of Hartford, an Esquire, and Bryan Smith.

Calligraphic header with wonderfully elaborate initial letter.

Vellum seal tag with red wax pendant seal wrapped in paper with armorial impression. Paper wrap signed. Also additional signatures on verso.

Very Good condition, mild creasing, measures 23 x 12.5".
