William Camden 1551-1623
English scholar, the most important historian and antiquary of Elizabethan
times. His two main works are Britannia, and this work,
The Annals Of The Affairs Of England And Ireland During The Reign Of Elizabeth.
This 17th century edition
with all text in Latin was published in Amsterdam by Daniel Elzevir of the House
of Elzevir the Dutch booksellers, publishers and printers.
With some irregular page
numbering as issued this work is all complete with engraved title page and
frontispiece portrait of Queen Elizabeth I, plus 42 pages preface introduction,
908 pages of main text and 37 page index.

CONDITION
Antique marbled boards, re-spined in leather with gilt lettered title label, new
endpapers, pages are browned, 2 leaves of preface have loss of margin and some
loss of text, a good solid binding.
Size is 6¾ by 4½ inches by 2 inches thick.
