Victor Buono gives a chilling performance as Leo Kroll, a worker in a Boston hospital who has a propensity for strangling young nurses. Like Norman Bates, Leo has an extremely unhealthy mother fixation. When his mother suffers a heart attack and a young and attractive nurse is assigned to care for her, Leo's hormones start to rage. On one hand, Leo is attracted to the nurse, but he is also jealous of her, fearing that she has replaced him in his mother's affections. Leo proceeds to go on a killing spree, targeting young and attractive nurses. (Paul Brenner---IMDB)
Mounted on two 1600-foot plastic reels, this 16mm ORIGINAL print is in VERY GOOD-to-EXCELLENT CONDITION. No vinegar syndrome, great soundtrack, great image. This is a very tough cult / horror title to find. 89 minutes. BLACK AND WHITE.
Made and released before Twentieth Century Fox's THE BOSTON STRANGLER, this film is also based on the Albert DeSalvo case.
