ID: This is NEW metal printing type for letterpress printing or for hot-stamping.

The font is 16pt Franciscan, designed by Goudy. This listing contains  lower-case & points only. If you need the complete font , please check my other listings.

Cast at the Dale Guild Tpfy on a Barth foundry caster  from new matrices that we made, and most importantly, using primary metals. Why? Because you can be sure that these are the hardest printing types you can buy. They are more than hard enough for hot-stamping. True foundry alloy coupled with density, dendity, density! Density comes from casting pressure 10-twenty times that of Monotype cast types. Used well, they will last you a lifetime.

If you are not familiar with the use of new ATF or Dale Guild types, do yourself a big favor and put a font to the test. You won't need makeready. These types are .918 high, and stay that way for a long, long time. You can set and distribute, again & again and still need no makeready. Of course, someday you will, but you can delay this further by rotating the types, especially if you have several fonts in use. 

CONDITION: NEW, uninked. Please keep in mind that this is a rough galley proof.

SHIPPING/Handling: Your zip will determine postage. All packages are sent Priority Mail unless otherwise requested, with Delivery Confirmation at my cost. I take much care in fonting and packing to make sure you receive you type in the condition it left my shop. Insurance is optional, but advised. Will combine metal type auctions to save on shipping. but the most you pay for one or five, is $10.95.  

As of Dec., '07, I have to start charging $1.00 packing fee as I have run out of recycled bubble-wrap & peanuts, and good tape is not cheap. Thanks for your understanding.

Types are best sent via Global Priority Flat-rate Air Mail. They will have a special box that will carry up to 20pounds for $26.00 to Canada, all other countries @ $42.50. This means you can ship up to five fonts for this cost.

INFO: I have the priviledge of handling the sales of the types cast at the Dale Guild Tpfy, in Howell NJ. The propietor and I spend about 2 weeks per month casting type and fonting the same. We have been casting bookfonts this past year, and sometimes we have the time to cast some other types and put fonts together. All types are cast on ATF Barth casting machines, which produce true foundry types, not monotypes. See my "me" page for further info.
