STEIFF LLAMA Glass Eyes, 2 Tags & Button RARE
Steiff made these rare Llamas in
three sizes and this is the largest at 43cm or 17" tall. He is in
excellent condition with chest tag "Lama" (only one L), yellow cloth
ear tag "1343.0" (dating him to 1957 and 1958), and his Steiff
raised-script button. "Lama" has long cream curly mohair for his body,
head and stubby tail, with spots of black & tan, and his legs; face &
ears are shaved blonde mohair with airbrushed details around his
cheeks, mouth, eyes and toes. He has gentle brown glass eyes inset
under mohair eyelids; a wire armature inside facilitates posing. This
fellow has serene presence & a sweet personality!
