This is a group of 17 fine fossil shark vertebrae from a single site in South Carolina. They are from various species of fossil sharks & possibly rays. The condition is excellent overall, with all the verts being essentially complete. This should make a great group for research or a collection. The largest vert measures 7/8" (20mm) in diameter. The winning bidder will receive the exact group of vertebrae pictured! They were found in Oligocene age deposits, in the Chandler Bridge Formation, near Goose Creek, South Carolina. The site was in a subdivision known as "The Hamlets". Thanks for looking & good luck. |
