A 17 inch jointed mohair teddy bear with internal chime. I believe it is by Chiltern, possibly a Hugmee.

The pale golden mohair is clean but has some loss, particularly to the face and front of the left leg.

The brown velvet pads have very little wear and those on the feet have card reinforcements. There are four black stitched claws to the feet and marks on the paw pads showing that they also had claws originally.

The eyes are glass with a tiny chip to the left one. The vertically stitched black nose and the mouth are excellent.

The right ear needs repairing where it has split.

The head is filled with wood-wool, with the rest of the bear having a mixture of ood-wool and kapok filling.

There is an internal chime in the lower part of the body which moves as the bear is tipped.

A lovely old bear with no holes, stains or repairs.
