1700s MEISSEN Hard Paste Porcelain Vase AUGUSTUS REX
- Here is an exceptional piece. It is a vase made of the finest hard paste porcelain by the famous factory of Meissen in Germany
- In the decorations, there are four panels divided by exceptional hand gilt border. two of the opposite scenes depict romantic scenes with couples in full period attire, while the other two depict floral compositions on a royal yellow background
- EVERYTHING ON THIS VASE IS METICULOUSLY HAND PAINTED, NO TRANSFER AT ALL!!!
- It is marked underglaze on the bottom with the famous monogram AR, which is hand drawn, but unfortunately is a little hard to read - however, it is AR for sure
- Measurements: Approx. 7.5" high; 5.75" diameter
- Condition: Excellent + overall, No defects at all, slight wear on the gilt on the top portion, consistent with the age. Other than that - just Perfect!
