Overview & Area: Interesting map of the Dauphiné in France reaching from the Rhône to the Italian Alps. With the map surrounded by 12 small plans and views of: Vienne, Embrun, Suze, Exilles, Cisteron, Quirieu, Lion, Valance, Montelimar, Gap, Puymore, Grenoble.

The main map is very detailed showing numerous place names. Shows cities, rivers, mountains,... With original outline hand-colouring indicating regions of the time! The city views even show single buildings, churches,...

Original copper-engraved map published around 1706 in Amsterdam ~
A very decorative map of the Dauphiné!

Size: engraved area approx.: 6.9" x 9.85" Inches; 17,5 x 25 cm + margins

Condition: Good impression printed on hand-laid paper. With a large real watermark woven into the paper - visible when held against the light! With uneven age-toning and soiling. Vertical folds with wear and browning. Folds with short splits and some small loss to bottom. Margins with toning and creasing.
In attractive and decorative antiquarian condition! => Have a look at the photos for more detail!
