Just received a beautiful set of new triple strand Genuine Fresh Water Pearls 18" length and the major diameter size of the actual pearl as measured by the calibrated Dial Caliper (See Picture) is slightly under 9 MM or 8.9 MM to be exact.  The direct measurement is .350" or converts to 8.9 MM - WoW - Just Beautiful and Full sized!  Purchased from a special closeout sale of a now gone out of business high-end jewelry store.
