18” Victorian Father Christmas

When you rotate a tall item, it comes out squatty, therefore

I have left picture number four unturned.  He is tall and

lovely, but the camera makes him look short and stumpy

when you rotate the picture.

Sorry, but I did want you to see him the way he really is.

I have a witch listed and she also is tall, but looks squatty.

It has been 12 years since I have done a standing like this.

I lost the mold and to me it was irreplaceable.  I loaned it

to a friend and never got it back.

Recently a friend gave me one I made for her, and

thus you see before you, a long forgotten memory.

This old fellow stands about 18” tall.

His face is from a startlingly wonderful mold, just look at that nose.

He has paper mache boots,

I have hand painted his face and hands, they are made from clay.

He is dressed in velvets, and the coat velvet is very old,

it is from vintage drapes from the Victorian era.

Santa is fully posable; His hat is trimmed in ermine

and his collar is Silver Fox.  His boots are trimmed in

vintage Chenille.  He holds a walking stick with Feather Tree Sprigs.

Also a wonderful old Putz Elephant on a pull stand.

I am thrilled to be able to get back to this size

after 12 years as they were enormously popular.

He is standing on a wooden base that has had “snow” added

and it is signed and dated.
