This is a terrific antique doll for your Christmas tree.  She has a patriotic theme and was possibly made for the 1876 centennial.  She wears a red and white striped outfit and is holding an American flag in one hand and a bell in the other.  When you shake her, she squeaks.  Her head is bisque, her arms are plaster and her legs are wood.  She measures about 8" high from her feet to the top of her head, she is about 10.5" from top of hat to end of stick.  Not marked but most likely made in Germany.  She has no damage to her head or otherwise other than much wear to her outfit including fading, some holes on her front side and soiling.  She was found with the worn Dresden shield and it will be included.  Small dolls like this were often hung on the tree and then played with.
