Hello and welcome to this week's combo auction, for an antique French Metronome & Wood Mantel Clock.

The metronomes case is constructed of solid mahogany, works fine, and is auctioned as pictured. I did

see one that sold last week, which they called a piano version that included a bell. It also was missing

the base piece, which doesn't seem to affect the functionality. Also included is a nice retro woodenware

electric clock. Hewn from a solid block of hardwood, possibly yellow pine, it's a rustically handsome piece

that's also guaranteed to keep time. Note the dozen inlaid wooden dots. This is only the surface of an

estate purchase, about an from hour's ride up the river. A small coffee table, bench and stool in this

same design will be forthcoming. Also some antique tools, frames, etchings, lamps, etc. Do stay tuned.

                                                        good luck.

Questions and answers about this item

Q: Hi, I'm not interested in the clock at all, how much for just shipping the metronome to 92065? Thanks!
A: hello. OK then, if you should win, I'll repack and send you just the metronome. Even a large USPS Priority box is only 5 1/2" thick, so I won't risk it. Parcel Post to California would be about $18.00 insured.... Continue reading

Q: Hi, I see there is no base on the metronome, but does the bell work? Please Respond.
A: hello right. There is no base or bell. It just makes a loud click click click, with the speed adjusted by sliding the weight on the pendulum wand. There's no secondary adjustment from the cases side; just the winding key.... Continue reading

You have 3 days to inspect your item. I honestly do my very best, via pictures and description; to disclose any post manufacturing flaws, or compromises. Vintage and antique items may have normal wear, which will always be disclosed in the pictures. Even though all items are packed very well and for zero breakage, stuff happens. If your item arrives damaged or you feel I missed something, please write and I'll take care of everything! If the packages contents obviously sounds damaged, you may refuse the delivery. In any case write me, and we'll arrange for a return and full refund. Do see my feedback and note the packing comments, then bid with confidence. Thank you. stantiques2
