We are offering for auction this wonderful small 19th century Primitive Child's Blanket Box in Original Dry Red and Green Paint with Decoration with No Reserve!  This small child's chest is from Maine, and is from the same home as the Red and Green Painted Miniature Blanket Chest we are currently listing for auction.  This is just a wonderful little box!  A nice small one for storing a child's clothing, blankets and such, and also likely used for traveling.  It has its original Red and Green Paint with nice dry Patina.  On the top of the red painted lid is naively stenciled with wonderfully folky green diamond shapes.  The chest has a hasp lock with brass escutcheon and two heart shaped mounts for the handles on each side.  It has hand planed single width boards and has square nails.  This child's blanket chest dates from the 1860's.  It measures 23"w x 12"h x 12"d.  This wonderful 19th century Child's Blanket Box in Original Paint from Maine is being offered with No Reserve!
