This is a very rare find for a platter or charger of this quality. I did some research on it by google and the signed emblem according to thepotteries.org shows the same exact signature and it list the Columbia pattern as 1819-64. I must say that I knew it was old but never would of guessed this old becuase of the wonderful condition!! I measured it and it is 15 1/4 inches in length and 11 3/4 in heigth. 2 1/8 th is the depth. The blue flows very nicely on it and it even has some on the edges. The signature as my pictures show is completely there and the back has a flea bites or blemishes but for it's age no cracks or chips and the scene is great. To me it looks like 2 romantic couples standing by the riverside of the enterance to a castle type structure. The blues are dark blue and lighter blues and the W. ADAMS did a wonderful job on this platter. There is 1 little scrape mark near the people but manly you have to really look for it to see it. The edge is 8 sided or octogon and has has very lovely flow of flowers on it.There is a Reserve on it because of it's age and beauty!! Insurance is a must on this! Any questions please E-mail me and I will answer ASAP
