PLEASE NOTE: I am still not even half way through the rare coin portion of this estate and seem to be getting nowhere fast, so rather than wasting endless hours that I don't have giving unnecessary descriptions, I am asking you to look at the enlargements of these coins and bid accordingly. I will still list any serious problems (cleaning, scratches, dents, etc) in the description so there are no surprises when you get them, and if I miss any I will consider a return on a case by case basis, but the same rules will apply- these are true auctions from here on out and all sales are final unless I grossly misdescribe an item. If you look at my feedback, you will note that I have been right on with my descriptions and I have had zero complaints privately so far (knock on wood), so you can expect a very nice coin unless I describe it as not so nice below, you have my word.

This auction is for a 1824 AU Capped Bust Half Dollar, old blue and burnt orange album toning, very strong details, nice luster, really nice mid-grade AU coin, notation on holder said O-117.
Estimated value: 400-450. (based on the Red Book and various national dealer's listings)

I have personally viewed all of these items and can tell you that it is all nice stuff and it looks like any junk was already culled out.
Any remarks in the auction description are from the collector's notes on the original holder. Any grades listed are only his opinion or the opinion of the various dealers or collectors he got them from.
I will describe anything that I think might be a problem so there won't be any surprises, so please help the seller out and bid what it is worth.
The photos are large and clear, so please refer to them and grade for yourself, but keep in mind that if you bid based on an unfair grade, a fair grader will outbid you. Best of luck!
